Madonna Lift (Non Surgical Eye Lift) in Charleston, SC
At Port City Plastic Surgery, Dr. Brian G. Widenhouse performs the “Madonna Lift” on women in Charleston, Daniel Island, Summerville and Mount Pleasant, SC, as well as the surrounding communities, to create the same ageless appearance and wide-eyed look as the world-renowned superstar without undergoing traditional blepharoplasty (eye lift surgery).
What is a Madonna Lift?
As women age, the skin around the eyes becomes lax and dark circles more pronounced creating a tired look expression. At Port City Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Brian G. Widenhouse is now offering this non-surgical laser eye lift procedure so that anyone – Hollywood celebrity or not – can turn back the clock on their eyes.
The “Madonna Lift” procedure is a non-surgical eye lift using a fractional CO2 laser that simultaneously reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and lifts the eyebrow for a younger look. At Port City Plastic Surgery, we use CO2 lasers as the way to achieve a younger look by focusing on the eyelids and the rest of the eye area.
Fractional CO2 lasers used in cosmetic procedures emit light in columns that target specific locations of skin without touching the surrounding healthy tissues. This promotes collagen production to tighten up the skin around the eyes making them look more open. Skin “damage” is limited to the treated area, and healing takes place much more quickly than with traditional eyelift surgery.
How Much Does a Madonna Lift Cost in Charleston, SC?
The cost of a Madonna Lift varies with each patient depending on how many treatments are needed and whether other treatments are performed at the same time. During a consultation, we can discuss the costs as well as our payment options.
Benefits of a Madonna Lift
A Madonna Lift is an effective alternative to traditional eyelift surgery because it offers the following benefits:
- Faster healing and recovery
- Quick treatment
- Very little discomfort
- No IV sedation necessary
Who is a Good Candidate for a Madonna Lift?
You may be a good candidate for a Madonna Lift if you have wrinkles around the eyes, dark circles, drooping eyelids or eyebrows, or crow’s feet. To determine if you may be able to have a Madonna Lift, we recommend you schedule a consultation with Dr. Widenhouse.
What Do I Need to Do Prior to a Madonna Lift?
After your initial consultation with Dr. Widenhouse and before the procedure is done, you will be given an eye shield to protect your eyes and a topical numbing cream to help minimize pain during the procedure.
What Should I Expect from a Madonna Lift?
The Madonna Lift procedure uses the most advanced and latest fractional CO2 laser known as the Deka DOT to perform the procedure. During the procedure, Dr. Widenhouse will apply a pattern of tiny scanned pulses of laser energy to your skin with the DOT Therapy™ fractional laser resurfacing. The laser treats only a fraction of the skin at a time, using specially modulated beams of light about the width of a human hair to penetrate the skin. Many of our patients say the sensation is like a rubber band lightly snapping against their face.
Each session lasts about 30 minutes with a commitment of three to five sessions every two or three weeks to achieve the desired results.
What to Expect After a Madonna Lift
After your procedure, you should notice that the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles around your eyes will begin to subside, while the upper and lower lids will gradually become tighter, alleviating drooping eyelids and other aesthetic issues.
Because there is no IV sedation used, the recovery is relatively quick and easy. Since damage to skin tissue is minimized by CO2 laser technology, patients experience very little discomfort both during and after the procedure except for some minor redness and puffiness for a couple of days following the treatment. You can immediately apply makeup after the procedure if desired.
When Should I Expect to Notice Results from a Madonna Lift?
You should notice the results within a few days after the treatment is performed as the healing takes place. The results improve with each treatment and may last up to five years although the treatment is still too new to accurately gauge long-term results. To prolong the effects, patients can also opt for a Botox® injection soon after the procedure is complete.
The Madonna Lift is a relatively non-invasive, pain-free non-surgical eye lift that can offer younger looking eyes after just a few treatment sessions.
