Accredited for Safety
Our surgery center (at The Center for Plastic Surgery) meets all the standards of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). These standards are designed for your safety during and after your plastic surgery. They include a review of:
- The environment and procedures in the operating and recovery rooms
- Personnel qualifications
- Medical equipment
- Cleanliness, sanitation, and waste handling
- Monitoring patient during and after procedure
AAAASF certification assures you that our facility meets all applicable state and federal laws. It shows that our equipment is all in good working order and our personnel are fully trained.
Maximum Comfort
Your comfort is important to us, so we have designed our facility to make you feel welcome and relaxed from the moment you enter the spa-like atmosphere of Port City Plastic Surgery. You are not rushed through your plastic surgery, but are allowed to take it at a comfortable pace.
We also work to make your procedure as comfortable as possible. Charleston, South Carolina plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Widenhouse uses a gentle touch during surgery to minimize postoperative discomfort. IV anesthesia allows for a quicker recovery and causes less nausea.
After some plastic surgery procedures, you may receive an ultrasound massage. The massage is comforting and warm. It reduces postoperative discomfort and bruising and may shorten your recovery period.
If you are interested in plastic surgery, consider the advantages our ambulatory surgery center offer. To learn more about our facilities, staff, or procedures, please schedule a consultation at Port City Plastic Surgery in Charleston, South Carolina.
