Restylane Lyft (Perlane) in Charleston, SC

Restylane® Lyft adds volume to the cheeks and mid-face area that tend to look hollow as the aging process takes effect. At Port City Plastic Surgery, Dr. Brian G. Widenhouse, a board-certified plastic surgeon, treats people in Charleston, Daniel Island, Summerville and Mount Pleasant, SC, as well as the surrounding communities, with Restylane® Lyft to reveal a younger, healthier appearance.

What is Restylane® Lyft?

Restylane® Lyft (formerly called Perlane®) is a dermal filler FDA approved to plump the cheeks by adding volume to lift the area and smooth the complexion. This member of the Restylane® family also contains lidocaine and hyaluronic acid (HA) to subtly and naturally fill out the midface area without any pain or discomfort during the treatment.

How Much Does Restylane® Lyft Cost in Charleston?

The cost of Restylane® Lyft is based on several factors including the extent of the area to be treated, the number of injections needed, and if it is combined with other cosmetic treatments. We discuss the costs of the treatments during a consultation with Dr. Widenhouse as well as payment options and financing.

Benefits of Restylane® Lyft

Restylane® Lyft is often chosen to treat the mid-face area because it offers the following benefits:

  • Minimal to no side effects
  • Works when other fillers do not
  • Little to no risk of allergic reaction
  • Fast treatment time
  • No downtime or recovery
  • Natural looking results

Who Is the Ideal Candidate for Restylane® Lyft?

When we age, our cheeks start to sink in or droop. Restylane® Lyft helps people who want to add volume to their cheeks and/or treat more severe wrinkles and folds that do not seem to correct themselves with other dermal fillers.

What Do I Need to Do Before Restylane® Lyft Treatments?

There is no specific preparation prior to getting Restylane® Lyft treatments. We recommend to our patients that they stop taking any blood-thinning medications or supplements such as ibuprofen, aspirin and even Vitamin D for a few days prior to the treatment to prevent or reduce bruising or bleeding at the injection sites.

What Should I Expect on the Day of Restylane® Lyft Treatments?

The treatment process is quick and virtually painless. Dr. Widenhouse injects Restylane® Lyft (Perlane®) into the targeted area of the face then massages it spreading the hyaluronic acid. That allows the HA to draw the moisture to the area adding volume and smoothing the complexion. Since Restylane® Lyft contains lidocaine, it is typically done with no discomfort or pain; however, we can apply a numbing cream to calm nerves and ensure no discomfort at all.

How Long Does It Take to Perform Restylane® Lyft Treatments?

Restylane® Lyft treatments are quick, taking only about 30 minutes to complete.

What to Expect After Restylane® Lyft Treatments?

Following Restylane® Lyft treatments, it is common for patients to go back to their normal routines following their treatments. There may be some slight redness or swelling at the injection sites, but that usually resolves itself within about 24 hours.

When Will I See the Results?

There may be some noticeable changes immediately following the treatments; however, it often takes several weeks to see the full results from Restylane® Lyft injections. Restylane® Lyft results are natural looking.

How Long Do the Results from Restylane® Lyft Last?

The results of Restylane® Lyft injections typically last about 12 months.
