What Should I Expect on the Day of Restylane® Silk Treatments?

Using an ultra-fine gauge needle, Dr. Widenhouse injects Restylane® Silk directly into the lips and/or areas around the mouth. He massages the area to ensure the hyaluronic acid is evenly spread throughout the area so that it can attract the moisture to add volume and smooth the lips.

How Long Does It Take to Perform Restylane® Silk Treatments?

Treating the lips and areas around the lips with Restylane® Silk takes about 30 minutes to complete. Because Restylane® Silk contains lidocaine, it can be done with no discomfort or pain.

What to Expect After Restylane® Silk Treatments?

There is no recovery with Restylane® Silk treatments. In fact, most people go back to their normal routines following their treatments. Because the results improve over time, lips do not look overly done and obvious. There may be some slight redness or swelling at the injection sites, but that usually resolves itself within several hours or a day.

When Will I See the Results?

It typically takes several weeks to see the full results from Restylane® Silk injections although there may be some subtle changes immediately following the treatments. With Restylane® Silk, the results are natural looking.
