Reconstructive Surgery by Port City Plastic Surgery for Air Force Sergeant Featured in the Washington Post: Keri’s Battle

Port City Plastic Surgery was honored to be part of a photo essay in the Washington Post depicting Air Force Master Sgt. Keri Whitehead’s battle with breast cancer by fellow Master Sgt. Jeremy Lock. Whitehead’s hope for the photo essay was to share the power of determination with her four-year-old daughter Kassidy, too young to understand fully what her mother was going through at the time. It depicts many moments during her journey, including her masectomy, treatment and reconstructive surgery at Port City Plastic Surgery with Dr. Brian Widenhouse. The photo essay has been inspirational for many, including breast cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Sgt. Whitehead, we salute you – and all the brave survivors.
