During his formative years, he graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University, earned his medical degree at East Carolina University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, which is affiliated with Yale University. Dr. Widenhouse then went on to complete his plastic surgery residency at Wake Forest University.

Dr. Widenhouse is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of both national and local societies for plastic surgeons. In the past, Dr. Widenhouse has been voted one of the Best Doctors by his peers and is a lifetime member of Strathmore’s Who’s Who. His special interests include breast enhancement, breast reduction, and breast reconstruction, among others.
